PRINCESS THEATRE

BIG NEW BILL TO-MIGHT Three now acts and a new revue hy the George Ward Snapshot Revue Company, entitled ‘ Who’s Next,’ come to the Princess Theatre to-night. Tins is said to be a laugh provoking comedy of complications; a production that lacks nothing in staging and presentation. Little Herrnie (George Ward;, Abe (Bert Le Blanc), and Mike (Les Warton) arc calculated to keep the audience in a good humor right from tho start. The rest of the principals have plenty of opportunities to acquit themselves well, and the ballet will bo seen at their best. Two of tho big features will be the sesstotte from ‘ Lucia ’ in ragtime, and a dance “ period ” finale. For the latter the company have been rehearsing daily for the past week, and it will please Princess Theatre patrons. The vaudeville will be provided by Estelle Bose, international impressionist in character sofigs and studies; Alec Ivollnwny, tho singing rover; Florence and Clifton, comedy gymnasts; and all 1 new items will be offered hy the Mur-j phayne duo. ]

Work on the two now Williamson Theatres will commence 'almost immediately. Plans and specification of the Wellington Theatre have arrived from the company’s architect, Mr Cedric Ballantyne, and tenders for this theatre will be called within a few days. The theatre will he called The Regent. The plans of the Auckland theatre are also nearing completion, and work is expected to’ commence on the new theatre in Queen street at the end of March. Mr Beaumont Smith, manag- i ing director of Williamson _ Films (N.ZA, Ltd., announces that his company’s enterprises will shortly extend to Christchurch.
