(Received March 1, at 11.25 a.m.) The Ministry expects to be in a position to prorogue Parliament at the end of this or the middle of next week. There will he a recess then till_ August. The Government is now considering a. plan to despatch the Attorney-General (Air APTienian) to at an early date to consult tho Dominions Office on the constitutional crisis that lias been reached between tho Assembly and tho Legislative Council. The Government feels that tho Governor would not be a party to the further swamping of the Legislative Council. It is understood that the Government is contemplating raising on the London market between £6,000,000 and £7,000,000.
