THIS EMHIHG'S SESSION STATIOfIINQ CONSIDERED The fourteenth annual conference of tiro Methodist Church of New Zealand was continued in Trinity Church this morning, tho Rev. R. N. Knight, 13. A. (president), in the chair. The first reading of the Stationing Committee’s report had to do with tho following changes:— Auckland .Central: L. B. Dalby, replacing P, N, Kniglit, 8.A.; T. Griffith introduced the discussion on the work of the orphanages, and moved the adoption ot the report on tho Auckland Children’s Hoklo and Orphanage. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. On the motion of Mr Griffith it was decided to send to tho executors of the estate of tho late Mr William _ Winstone a letter expressing appreciation of the bequest of £I,OOO and the residue of tho estate.

The balance-sheet disclosed an expenditure of £2,633 2s 7d, and cash receipts amounting to £2,1327 17s Bd. Certain bequests had been added to the capital fund, and only tho interest on this money will be used. The thanks of tho conference wore accorded tho Board of Management. The Bov. John Hands moved the adoption of tho report of tho Methodist Children’s Nome, Alasterfon. Tho report was adopted.

The. report of the South island Orphanage was presented by tho Bov. J, Harris, and it was adopted. Tho secretary (tho Bev. J. Hands) and the treasurer (Mr G. Bowron) were heartily thanked for their services. Special mention was made of the work of the latter. TRAINING OF DEACONESSES. Mrs W. J. Williams, matron in charge of the Deaconess Homo, addressed the conference, making appeal for support. The Bcv. J. Harris moved the adoption of tho report, deleting, however, a clause favoring the use after the deaconesses’ names of letters distinguishing them from other church workers. Tho report was adopted. Tho balance-sheet was also adopted. ‘ METHODIST TIMES.’ Tho Bev. J. Harris moved tho report of tho ‘Methodist Times’ and Literature Committee. Amotion was carried urging that steps bo taken to increase tbo circulation of the paper. The reports were adopted. WESLEY COLLEGE. Tho report of Wesley Training College was presented, and the principal, Mr R. C. Clark, ALA., spoke of the work of tho college. Mr J. Ycale, chairman of tho hoard, also spoke, laying stress on tho improved position of tho college. Mr Vealo (whose work was mentioned in terms of warm commendation) and Dir Clark were heartily thanked for their services. GREETINGS. The dominion executive of the Now Zealand Alliance conveyed its greetings.
