(Received January .9, at 10.15 a.m.) In a letter to Mr Raeburn, general secretary of tho Australian Seamens Union, 'tho Commonwealth Steamship Owners’ Association states that _interstate steamship companies will in future decline to employ any member of iho Seamen’s Union who is guilty oi having caused any vessel belonging to any of tho companies to bo delayed, or of having attempted to exercise job control. Tbo companies will also refuse to employ any man who fails, without reason, to join his ship, or is absent at sailing time without cause. Accompanying tho letter is a memorandum giving, forty-seven cases . in which job control lias been practised since the agreement was signed between tbo union and the association in August.
