MURDER OF CONSTABLE

(Received January 9, at 10.15 a.m.) Horniidco Condollo war, committed for trial on a charge of murdering Constable Clare. [A cablegra in despatched from Melbourne on "Christmas Hay stated that, following an argument between three constables and a number of men, mostly Italians, at North Melbourne, a fight ensued, in which one of the constables, named Clare, was fatally stabbed m the groin. An Italian named Dominion Condollo was arrested after a chase and charged with murder. A bloodstained pocket knife was found near the seeno of the light.
