Professor Sir Edgwortlp .David (of Svdney University) has arrived in Lon don. .lie visited the South African mines on route, including the Lydcnburg platinum find. Ho described this amazing discovery as comprising a belt of seventy miles long and from 4ft to across. Samples disclosed - to (kiwi of alloy per ton. Up to the present the belt has been tested only at intervals, but if it equals expectations it will control the world’s markets and mean a. considerable reduction in prices. —Sydney ‘ Sun ’ Cable.
