M HELP THE CKILEKtEN " Those who hold tickets ("and those who are going to buy them) for the l>ijj; benefit matinee to he held a I ll.e .Princess Theatre in aid of the. Children's Rest Home are asked to note that it is to-morrow, and not Wednesday as shown on the tickets, that the big event takes place. The programme* will be one by the full lis;, of artists now appearing at the. theatre, permission for their appearance having been given by Messrs Fuller and Sons, Ltd. and the manager (Mr John Uanier). So that, in addition to helping on an excellent work, patrons to-morrow afternoon will be regaled with a. first-class bill by Jim (ierald and his revue company and several individual artists. It may be added in explanation ihat the Children's Rest Home provides a temporary home for children of sick mothers who may be in hospital, maternity homes, or elsewhere at the time. The home is invariably full, and hundreds of children have been cared for, and mothers who could not otherwise have afforded the luxury have been enabled to take a. much-needed rest and an opportunity to get well. During the seven years the home has been open the energetic and capable manager (Mr S. Dtmkley) has received large numbers of letters expressing gratitude. The home, by the way, is healthily situated, at 253 Kewnuro road, Mornington. More accommodation is urgently needed there, and considerable difficulty is being experienced bv the management at the moment in Aiding suitable homes for the children, owing to so many people having Exhibition visitors. Assistance may therefore bo urged. Tickets for to-morrow's entertainment may be obtained at Jacobs's, at the theatre door, or at the office of the home, 2 Royal Arcade.
