of altering Hie bowls; and there is going to bo strong opposition from South Australia and Now South Wales, to say nothing of other Slates which might swing to cither side. The A.B. Council’s experts’ decisions are in for a torrid time, and there is every chance of them being defeated or seriously modified. If this proves to be the case it will be a blow to those in authority, because of loss of prestige and the ambition to have a splendidly-proportioned drawing bowl placed within the reach of all bowlers. Without in any way trying to influence bowlers, I might say that I have seen several bowls which have been turned to the new standard, and they are a thing of beauty. Easily handled with a beautiful, certain, and steady draw, such a bowl must inevitably come into use if we are to bo rid of the cumbersome, big,, bloated, and straight woods which are so much in evidence to-day.
