Joynson-Hicks (Home Secretary), speaking at Lincoln, said : A definite attempt is being made to get the British trade unions within the domination of a foreign Power—namely, the Moscow Soviet. 1 do not believe that the workers are such fools as to desert their own tried leaders. The * Daily Nows ’ says there has been a surprising development in the Fascisti movement in Liverpool, where the local Fascists are , enrolling _as special constables and drilling at police headquarters. Speaking at the Labor Conference at Liverpool, Mr Jack Hayes, M.P., who was formerly a policeman, denounced the new “0.M.5.” movement (Lord Hardingo’s organisation for the maintenance of supplies). “It means the organisation of mugs and scabs,” he said. Mr Herbert Morrison declared that “the letters have a truer meaning—namely, ‘ Our Master’s Society.’ It is a class organisation controlled by aristocrats,” he said.
