Speaking at the Labor Conference at Liverpool, Mr Jack Hayes, M.P., who was formerly a policeman, denounced the new “0.M.5.” movement (Lord Hardingo’s organisation for the maintenance of supplies). “It means the organisation of mugs and scabs,” he said. Mr Herbert Morrison declared that “the letters have a truer meaning—namely, ‘ Our Master’s Society.’ It is a class organisation controlled by aristocrats,” he said.
