THE ABRAMS METHOD
OFFER TO GOVERNMENT EXPERIMENTAL CLINIC SUGGESTED. Mr Alexander Marky, who recently lectured in Dunedin on the subject a the Abrams has written to the Prime Minister in the following terms:— In the course of the interview you were kind enough to grant to mo, J suggested the establishment of an experimental Abrams clinic under the supervision of your Government. ) am very glad indeed to comply with your request to submit my plan to you in writing. I am informed that there are quite a number of ex-soldiers in New Zealand who are still suffering from the effects of the war, and whoso ailments refuse to yield to orthodox methods of treatment, in view of the fact that the Abrams method of treatment lias accomplished the seemingly impossible in thousands of cases whore every other effort had failed, i propose that your Government establish a free Abrams clinic f,-r the houclit of those unfortunate victims of the 'World War. Sncb a clinic would accomplish two very worthy purposes; it would rcst'vc to health and usefulness many of t! c.se who are now but a sad burden on the taxpaying citizenry of Now Zealand, and it would also furnish the people of New Zealand with invaluable information regarding the efficacy of this much-discusscd new method of treatment. 'Hie establishment of such a clinic would entail very little, if any, expenditure on the part of your Government. T have the assurance of a number of public-spirited citizens of your country who would gladly donate the necessary equipment, while Dr William 11. Pettitt, of Auckland, who is conversant with the technique of the Abrams treatment, has kindly offered his services free, should such a clinic bo established. The Government of Now Zealand lias done much line pioneer work_ in other fields, and it would bo fitting inoeed that it should be the first Government in the world to establish Sii -i, an experimental clinic for its ex-soldiers. I hope you will be in a position to communicate with me before the 29th o; Uus month, as I should, like to make the necessary arrangements befeie my return to the United States.
