CIVIL SERVICE. The Civil Service Harriers decided a one-mile walk handicap on tlio road at the back of Fodbury Park ; 13 faced the starter, J. Wilson, the Otago champion, starting from the_ scratch mark. At the turn at St. Kilda M'Kernan (120yds) had a lead of 60yds from Horum (25yds), with Wilson 30yds further back. Going back to tho Park the back-markers closed up, but M'Kernan won by 15yds, with Wilson, 10yds away, third. Tho course was over the full distance. Result; B. R. M'Kernan (120yds) 1, P. Herum (25yds) 2, J. A. Wilson (scr) 3. Afterwards a short run was held, and tho members wore then entertained at the Mctropole as the guests of Mr J. Hoy. ANGLICAN. Anglican held their first sports meeting at Forbury Park. The entries were good for all events. Results: —loo Yards: F. W. Gray 1, Stroud 2, Wederell 3. 440 Yards: F. W. Gray 1, Wederell 2, Johnson 3. High Jump: F. W. Gray (sft) 1, Bradley 2, Johnson 3. Putting the shot: A. Fleming 1, Bradley 2, Johnson 3. CAVERSHAM. The Caversham Harriers held the concluding day of their field events meeting at Forbury Park. Rain fell, making conditions very unpleasant. The track was very heavy. Results : 100 Yards.—Gibbs 1, Hebbard 2, Mill 3. 440 Yards.—Hcthcrington 1, Gibbs 2, Hebbard 3. Putting the Shot.—Gibbs (27ft Hu) 1,. Mills (26ft lin) 2, Hebbard (21ft 2in) 3. High Jump.—G. Hopkins 1, G. Hetherington 2, A. Hill 3. Next week the members will run from Tomahawk as the guests of Mr E. J. Hey (vice-president). Members are requested to meet at Bay terminus at 2.30 p.m. sharp. PACIFIC. Pacific hold their 100 yards and halfmile handicaps at Forbury Park. Results :—■ 100 Yards.—A. C. Grcv (scr) 1, A. Fish (9yds) 2, F. Mount (Sycls) 3. Half-mile.—J. Morris (40yds) 1. S. Gibson (55yds) 2, F. Mount (35yds) 3. CARGILL ROAD METHODISTS. Cargill Road Methodists held their weekly run from the schoolroom, Wesley street. The pack ran down Wesley street, along Macandrew road, down by Forbury Park, and over tho sandhills on to the beach. Hero a seven-a-sidc football match was played and enjoyed by all, tho game being fast and even. After tho match tho harriers ran along to St. Clair, and homo via. Macandrew road, a fast run home being held up Wesley street. ST. KILDA. St. Kilda held their weekly run from Orchard Leigh, Green Island. The trail, laid by T. Nelson and G. Tiley, led round the back of the station and across a broad ploughed paddock, coming out behind tho tileries; the trail then led across tussock land to Fairfield, where the runners struck the road, and hold a fast run home. The nm was an ideal crosscountry example, especially near Freeman’s sand pit, where the members had tho experience of a swim through tho swamp. Leith Harriers held their second sports meeting on the Ross Creek reservoir, which was in a very had condition. Tlie results were as follow: 220 Yards: J. Fraser 1, A. Ellis 2, D. Fraser 3. 880 Yards: A. Ellis 1, J. Fraser 2, D. Fraser 3. Hop, Step, and Jump: J. Fraser 1, A. Ellis 2, W. Buchanan 3. Long Jump; A. Ellis 1, J. Fraser 2, W. Buchanan 3. Tho dub has to thank Mr L. Fraser for tho loan of the grounds.
