CHINAMAN FINED [Pun United Pkess Association.] WELLINGTON, September 12. Charged with keeping a common gaming-house, a Chinaman named Lon Sai Hoy pleaded guilty at the Magistrate’s "Court this morning. Counsel for accused said that the man was in delicate health and unable to pay a heavy fine. The magistrate (Mr Riddell) ; “ Very ••-ell. Twill line him £4O, in default six weeks’ imprisonment. Ho is liable under the Gaming Act to a fine of £IOO, or three months’ imprisonment.” Four white men found on the premises were each fined £2.
