FOR EQUIPMENT
ARGHERFIELD SCHOOL BAZAAR Co-operation between the parents and the staff has resulted in the promotion of a splendid bazaar opened at the Burns Hall to-day by Miss M. I. Fraser, M.A. (principal of lona College). The bazaar is in aid of the school equipment fund. In a dainty scheme of decorations hosts of baloons make a striking and attractive feature. The stalls, fully stocked with toothsome confections and dainty articles of apparel, are decorated in a novel way. But what makes the bazaar rather out of the ordinary is the gorgeous display of spring blooms, which, sent specially by (Sir Heaton Rhodes from his beautiful Canterbury house, arrived this morning. Another interesting exhibit, is a doll’s bedroom suite of oak, perfect in every detail. Those cleverly designed articles were made, by Mr A. Taylor, Father of one of the students. During the afternoon Miss M'Georgc’s orchestra enlivened the proceedings ■with many tuneful selections, and_ tonight an entertainment will be given by a jazz band, composed of Messrs E. J., E,., and L. Harris, with Mr Walls as pianist. The stallholders are : Work Stall.—Mesdames A. Geddes, jW. H. Mackenzie, Cleghorn, Birt. Variety Stall. —Mesdaraes A.
