SPIRITUALISTS
CONFERENCE IN PARIS COMMUNICATION WITH THE DEAD. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 10. The Paris correspondent of the ‘ Daily Telegraph ’ says that tho International Spiritualist Congress decided to open a competition, ottering prizes for the construction of instruments to enable tho shades of the departed to communicate easily with tho living. The congress also proposes to conserve the powers of mediums by keeping them in spiritualist hostels, thus relieving them of material cares. The congress decided that many mediums work so hard to gain a livelihood that their peculiar spiritualistic gifts are largely wasted.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
