MALE CHOIR CONCERT

Operatic selections, especially from Wagner’s operas, will bulk largely on tho programme of the Dunedin Male Choir's concert, which takes place in His Alajesty’s Theatre on Alonday evening . The public has always shown appreciation ot this class of music, and the society, in endeavoring to make the 150th concert particularly attractive, has wisely chosen only the best. The choir, which, as usual, will be conducted by Ur V. E. Galway, will give other compositions that will call for varied ana interpretative 'treatment. The items will be tho extract from the third act of Wagner’s ‘ Tannhauser,’ which includes the ‘Pilgrims’ Chorus,’ ‘ A Roman War Song ’ from Wagner’s opera ‘Rien/,1,’ ‘The Aleeting of the Waters’ (arranged by Percy E. Fletcher!, ‘Fallen Heroes’ (Jenkins), ‘Spin, Spin,’ (Jungst), and ‘Laughing’ (Ant). Vocal and instrumental solos, duets, and quartets will be given by the following artists Miss Aleda Paine, Dr V. E. Galway, Messrs Trevor De Clive Lowe, W. Gemmed, F. C. Cooper, H. Prowse, 0. Edwards, 0. Garden, R. S. M. Sinclair, and J. B. Macpherson. Air John Haggitt will be the accompanist.
