The Kamo, which left Gisborne yesterday, should arrive on Sunday morning to discharge before undergoing survey and overhaul at Port Chalmers.

The Wingatui, which arrived at 10.50 a.m. yesterday from Rlnlf. sailed lastnight for Timaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington and Auckland. A wire received this morning states that she returned to Port Chalmers owing to a breakdown. The Waihora was to leave LyUol'on to-day for Dunedin, though her departure was doubtful owing to the bad weather. The balance of Hie Waihnra’s freight from Sydney will bo discharged here.

The Ngakuta was to leave Lyttelton to-day for Tiiuani and Dunedin with the remainder of her West Coast coal cargo

The, Waikonaili departed yesterday for Bluff to coiupleu- loading ior Melbourne ami Sydney. Later the vessel will load at Newcastle and Sydney ior Bluff. Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Timaru. The Calm is due to arrive on Tuesday from Rlulf to load Jor Wanganui and way ports. The Shaw, Savill, ami Albion Company’s loeal agents advise that the Tainui is duo at Wellimdou on the afternoon oi Monday, August 21.

RUAPEHU LEAVES DOMINION. Round for New York, Boston, Glasgow, Liverpool. Manchester, Cardiff, nnd Avonmoutli, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s .steamer Ruapehu left Auckland on Monday evening last. Piper, and fourteen third class. RECORD TONNAGES. Figures compiled by the Lyttelton harbor master show that the total tonnage at the wharves on Monday last was over 87,000. That included the United Slates warships, and was a record for the port. The steamer Cowden Law is not a stranger on tho New Zealand coast. Tl;e vessel visited New Zealand a year ago, when she loaded wool f<«’- 14 ngiand. At that time tho ship was named Scottish Monarch, but on reaching England she was purchased by Messrs Thomas Law and Co., of Glasgow, and her name was changed. Captain J. Nelson is in command of the tramp vessel, which arrived at Auckland on Sunday to discharge 3.800 tons of 8,200 tons of sulphur ior Auckland, Sydney', and Adelaide.
