TRIALS IN ENGLAND AUSTRALIANS DOING WELL. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, August 18. The tlirec German teams have retired from the motor cycle trials, and it is only necessary ior one of the three English teams to complete the trial to retain the trophy. The three Australians were exceptionally speedy and sure- on the stiff hill climbs, where many othcis came to grief. There were two accidents over the western moorlands, one rider receiving a broken rib and another concussion, as a result ot being thrown from their machines. The Anstralans are offering the greatest resistance to England in the international silver vase competition, with Norway a good third. Holland Germany have retired. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
