IMPORTS AND EXPORTS

LONDON, August 13. ■ Compared with the previous July, the imports to the United Kingdom last month decreased by £9,352,317, and the exports by £6,356,920, while the re-exports increased by £1,201,601. The principal decreases in imports were: Grain and flour, £2,407,903; wood and timber, £1,735,781; raw cotton, £1,975.822; silk, £1,1391,005; oils and fats, £1,399,084. The chief decreases in exports were; Coal, £1,898,529; cotton yarns and manufactures, £1,015,380; woollen and worsted yarns, £1,780,919. The imports of rubber by '£1,832,828 iu value.—A. and N.Z. jpable.
