PROTECTION OF PEDESTRIANS.
An association “ for the protection of pedestrians and their rights, and to secure their safety from vehicular traffic of all kinds,’’ has been formed in London There are sixteen “ aims and objects enumerated to assist the man who merely walks.
It is pointed out that in 1918 there were 36,685 street accidents in Great Britain, involving death or personal injury; in 1924 there were 98,215—a sign of the times.
Vehicular traffic regulations, rights of way, legal and Parliamentary action, and the establishment of clubs for pedestrians l are some of the endeavors of the now i movement.
