RIOT AT PRISON
THREE CONVICTS ESCAPE. TWO GUARDS SHOT. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, NEW YORK, August 12. In a concerted riot at the Salem (Oregon) State Prison to-night two guaras were shot dead, one convict was killed, and three gained their liberty by a dash over the walla. Another guard who was shot may die. The convicts made a break for the prison arsenal and secured guns.— Reuter.
