TRINITY BAND OF HOPE
AH EVENING FOR MOTHERS Mothers’ night at the Trinity Band of Hope was held in the Trinity Methodist Schoolroom on Saturday, when there was a (very largo attendance, the schoolroom being crowded. Every mother, as she entered, received a buttonhole of pink and white flowers. The room was artistically decorated in pink and white shades, blossoms, and streamers. The chairman (the .11 cv. Charles Dallaston) welcomed the Bov. R. Raine (president) and Mr Hiett (secretary) of the Baud of Hope Union, and also delegates from other builds of hope. During the evening Mrs F. O. Blamiros delivered an address to mothers, strongly advising them, for the children’s sake, to do all they could for the temperance cause. Between the items on the programme presents were given to those who qualified. At the conclusion of the programme supper was handed round, and the llov. R. Raine thanked the Band of Hope for the very pleasant evening spent, and mentioned that the beauty and talent displayed hud been a grout surprise to him. Mr E. Aslin, on hehall ol the Band of Hope, thanked all those, wlio had contributed' to the success ol tho entertainment. The following was the progroimno presented :—Pianoforte duet, Misses K. and T.
