NORTH-EAST VALLEY CLUB. The annual meeting cf the Northeast Valley Lawn Tenuis .Chib was held last night, Mr J. Leggett presiding. The secretary (Mr C. M. Howison) read the annual report and balancesheet. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows Secretary, Mr L. Colbert; Committee—Misses C. M‘Laron and G. Stewart, and Messrs J. RawHnsou and W. A. Morrow. Prizes were awarded as b 3 lows: — Men’s Handicap Singles, Mr W. A. Morrow; Ladles’ Handicap Singles, Miss G. Stewart; Ladies’ Champion Singles, Miss A. Doodcward. The Men’s Champion Singles -were, unfortunately not played off, Messrs W. A. Morrow and J. Manson remaining, whilst Mr J l . Grimsdale lost his game by default. A hearty vote of thanks to the retiring secretary (Mr Howison) and to the committee was carried amidst applause.
