MR COfflllGAM’S SUGGESTION REFUTED [Per United Press Association.; AUCKLAND, July 21. In reference to Ihe allegations made by Mr Corrigan in the .House oi Representatives as to Hie holding of land near the new Raimi railway station between Henderson and Swanson, somo of Sir James Farr's constituents slate that the Minister does not hold, nor is he directly or indirectly interested in, land in the vicinity ol Raimi station. A new station at Gratia was imilt about a year ago, and a family named Parr, being no connection with the Minister, live close to tho station, having resided in the district tor fitly years. Tho member for Patea laid confused the Waikiiniete family of Parrs with the member lor Eden. Two years ago the Swanson Ratepayers’ Association was 'instrumental in the purchase ns a scenic reserve of a block of twenty-five acres of native bush within a mil© of Raimi station, and this reserve has been named Purr Park. Tho association has written to the Prime Minister asking for a thorough investigation of Mr Corrigan’s charges, ns their absolute inaccuracy' and injustice demand dominion-wide publicity.
