The ‘ Daily Express ’ says that Ministers arc seeking a compromise on the cruiser question, and probably an agreement will be reached without resignation. The Cabinet committee suggests a saving which will ho eventually at least £4, 000,000 a year by reducing the pay of future recruits to the Army to the extent of 20 per cent.; Navy recruits by 15 per cent.; and Air Force recruits by 10 per cent.—A. and N.Z, Cable.
