The Berlin correspondent of the ‘Daily Telegraph ’ says : “ After many months negotiation an agreement has been, reached for the formation of a FrancoGerman iron and steel trust. Those in* (crested may deny the statement, but I have received it irom an unquestionable authority. France will receive the right to send Germany 1,750,000 tons of iron ore from Alsace-Lorraine, the Saar, and Lnxiimburg annually. The German and French industries will retain control of their own home markets, but they will form a. joint syndicate for foreign operations, the orders from which will be divided proportionately between Franco and Germany.” A separate syndicate, the correspondent states, is being formed to control the output, and to effect long-term contracts lor. the delivery of French ore to Germany and Ruhr coni to France,.
