BEQUEST OF "WELSH CASTLE. Tho King has disclaimed all interest in tho bequest of a, Welsh castle and a trust fund of £50,000 under tho will of Winifred Countess of Dnmionald, wife of tho present Earl. In consequence, Gtvrvch Castle and estate will bo used by tho Order of St. John of Jerusalem in England as a priory, and the £50,000 will ho employed for its upkeep. Lady Diindomild’s estate, in her own disposition, is valued at £202,800, net personalty, £187,0(12. Sue stated in her will that, subject to her husband’s life interest, and to ihe erection of almshouses on three arres of the she left - The. ha lance of ihe, Gwryeh Castle estate, and sm-h of her effects there as her trustees should consider suitable for the purpose, and a sum of £50.000 upon trust for His Majesty the King of England, as part of his private estates, and expressing the hope (hilt without dealing any trust in tho matter} that he. may allocate this esiate and ell'eeis, and this legacy for iis upkeep, as a permanent residence in Wales for the King of England and the Prince of Wales for H e lime being.
