HOSPITAL MATTERS.
TO THE EDITORSir, —In your report of my address which Appears in the. issno of Dio 24tb hist, there appeared the statement: “The team system of doctors, whereby each patient’received tho attention of tho one doctor for the whole period spent in the hospital, should be adopted.” This part ought to have read; “The. team system of doctors, whereby each patient received the attention of the team, and not that for only one doctor, from tho time of going into the hospital and coming out.” May I be. allowed to remark that the team system of doctors, each doctor a specialist iii some department of medical or surgical science, has great advantages over the old system, the famous .Mayo clinic in America lieing an outstanding ’example in this direction? I understand that a hospital carried out under tho auspices of Air Henry Ford in the same country in which this team system is in operation shows a very high'rate of successfully treated cases,—l am, etc., John Gilchrist.
