MUSSOLINI'S MEASUR.ES. I TALI ANS AROUSED. Frees Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. ROME, December 7. The text of the new Press law has aroused a storm of protests. The penalties include from six months’ to three years’ imprisonment for anyone publishing false news which may damage the national credit at homo or abroad, disturb the 'public order, or prejudice diplomatic action. Other offences for which penalties _a.ro provided are : inciting persons to actions calculated to intensify class hatred, and inciting to disobedience of the law relating to the libelling of the King or the Pope, or any of the national institutions or the national flag,—A. and N.Z. Cable.
