SALE OF WORK

The twenty-eighth annual sale, of work at St. Hilda’s College was held this afternoon at the school. The proceeds are in aid of the Melanesian Mission, St. Mary’s Orphanage (Dunedin), Orphanage of Mercy (Kilburn, London), and for the purchase of St. Hilda’s school buildings. The hall was neatly decorated with flags and greenery. The stalls were:—Bran pie, kindergarten ; cakes and work stall, old girls; sweets stall, Laurence House ; flowers stall, Nelson House; art stall, prefects; work stall, Wellington House; and produce stall, Havelock House. Each stall has an array of colors which represents one particular house. This evening Mr and Mrs Gardiner will give an entertainment entitled ‘Milliners’ Bin.’
