Their Excellencies Vismunt and Viscountess Jeilicoe have arranged to leave Wellington to-morrow on a. visit to Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay On Wednesday they will attend a. gathering of Maoris near Hastings in honor of Sir James Carroll, and on Thursday they will leave Napier by motor for Gisborne, where they will fulfil a variety of engagements on Friday and Saturday. On their return To Napier their Excellencies will have further engagements on the 25th and 26th lust., a'visit to Hastings being included. His Excellency will return to Wellington on the 27th, and Her Excellency on the following day after performing the opening of tho now parish hall at Masterlon.— Wellington Tress Association telegrn'm. Mr Percy Shaw, formerly of Dunedin, wlio for some years past has been manager of the boot department, of Alcssrs Sargood, Son, and Ewen’s business in Auckland, has been appointed manager of their Invercargill branch.
