NEW YORK, August 16.
Stories of fabulous profits from small investments are being circulated by buyers who last year paid sdol for 1,000,000 marks worth of Gorman war bonds, and X,750d0l during the past week. Prussian war loans which were worth 400dol per 1,000,000 marks three months ago brought ten times the original sum. Other German securities have risen in proportion. Tho rist in general is ascribed to the recent favorable reports regarding the Dawes plan for rehabilitating Germany.— Renter.
