Fences, electric poles, and buildings in the course of erection were blown down in the Wollongong district, and roofs wore, partly tom of! many houses. 'Hie wireless aerial of the steamer Ilona!In (between Adelaide and Melbourne) was carried away by a nincty-mile-pcr-lionr hurricane. Vessels in Bass Strait suffered a severe buffeting.
