Early in May three camps were established as far as the nori.li col, hut weather conditions compelled the occupants to retreat to the base camp at Rongbuk. They returned to the fanhennost camp, but a blizzard and a falling temperature compelled a descent to tho base camp to recuperate for a few days before a fresh .attempt is made.— ‘ Times.’
