ATTEMPTED MURDER
MAORI REMANDED,

WELLINGTON, .May 6,
Purora Tangavoa, on a charge of attempting to murder William Ross, at Parownnui, on April 27, was remanded to appear at Palmerston North on tho 14th inst.
[The facts as reported at tho by our special correspondent at Wanganui, showed that tho Native came to the dt>or of In's house, levelled a .303 rifle at Rosa (a farm manager) and called out: “Put up your hands!’’ Accused fired three shots. Two missed, but one struck Ross in tho shoulder. Tho Maori, after Ross had got away, started to shoot hi an indiscriminate fashion at the passing traffic.]
