In the semi-final of the singles Anderson defeated Hone, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2. Anderson soon found his length, and kept Hone ava-y from the net. As an exhibition the j>tjae was spoiled, as the services were enclient, not necessitating any rallies. Kahns and Willard, who were defeated by Patterson and O’Hara Wood in the doubles, have yet to learn their pisuions iu doubles play. Tho losers executed a number of fine drives, but took a Vjt of risks in tossing to two such deadly smashers. Owing to heavy rain further play lias been postponed till Monday. DAVIS CUP.
