PRICES MAINTAINED, [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, January 17. Tho wool sales concluded yesterday, when ot tho 52,000 bales offered only a small amount remained unsold. The previous day's values were maintained, and though medium cross ; brcds were slightly easier, and competition was less active for lambs, prices wore practically as strong ns ever. Tho range of prices was as under: Merinos; Fine balf-brcds, unchanged; medium half-bred, avcrilgo quality 22d to 24|d. Coarse half-brcds—super., 21d to 25d; average, 18d to 20]d; inferior, 14|d to l?id. Corned ale : Average, 22] d to 25] d; inferior, 21d. Eino cross-brcds : Super., 17jd to average, 15d to 17-id; inferior, 12jd to 143 d. ' Medium cross-breds: Super., 16/1 to 18id; average, 14s to 16d; inferior, 12d to ISJd. Coarse cross-brods: Super., 12/1 to 16d ; average, 15£d to 14d; inferior, lid to 13d. Low cross-breds: Supci/ 134 dto 14d; average, llJjd. to 10/l” inferior, to 11/1 Hoggets: Fine, 17d to 19]d; medium, 16]d to 18jd; coarse, 14]d to I6]d; low, 12d to I4jd. Lambs: Fine, 19d to 23/1; medium, 15d to seedy and inferior grades, 11/l to 15d.
