It has appointed a committee to meet the railway managers and locomotive men’s executive, with the object of ending the deadlock, or at least postponing the operation of the award and the commencement of strikes pending negotiations.—Reuter. COLLIERS’ .WAGES AGREEMENT. LONDON, January 14. A ballot of the Yorkshire and Northumberland miners overwhelmingly favors the termination of the national wages agreement.
