(Received January 15, at 2 p.m.) The Rugby League has decided to restrict the selections for the Australasian tour to United Kingdom players. The claims of the South Africans Van Heerden and Van Ooyen, members of the Wigan tsaan, are therefore excluded. CHAMPIONSHIP BOWLS, TOURNAMENtIpOSTP ONED, Owing to a heavy gale and rain to-day the bowling tournament at Christchurch was postponed. The committee decided to play the balance of the rink competition, three games of 21 heads daily. SWIMMING. C. Wilson and D. Mulverhill will also represent Auckland at the New Zealand Swimming Championships at Wanganui. FOSBURY PARK TROTS. In the Vauxha.il Handicap, Zolica, Snider, Lady Evelyn, Stray Child, Peterwah, and Young Tom are handicapped 24yds behind instead of 36yds as telegraphed. In the Otago Handicap Bon Sonty’s handicap should bo 72yds instead of 48yds.
