THE NATIVES’ MESSAGE. [Pse United Press Association.! AUCKLAND, December 9. A wireless message as follows has been received by Major-general Richardson (-■uiiiiiiu.su'iuurj from tho ruling chiefs of Samoa ; “ The Faipulcs were unable to meet you prio . \ .L-paiUtro. they desire to assure you that you have tho confidence of .... ~ci..-,cs ui me .amuan people, and we hope that tho New Zealand Government win respond to your proposals on behalf of Samoa, as you understand what is required for the prosperity of Samoa, further, they wish to bear witness of your love and perseverance on their amount, and to pray that this may be made clear to New Zealand, as if Samoa prospers it will become a wreath of glory to New Zealand. Tho Fantuas also send an expression of their and pray that God may bless your mission and grant you a safe return.” Mr Francis 801 l announced that ho had practically concluded arrangements regarding tho main points as to which he was in conference with General Richardson. These agreements, however, could not be made public' until the Administrator returned to Samoa and announced the terms to the people there, who were most directly concerned.
