CUSTOMS RETURNS
MONTH AND QUARTER,
The amount of net Customs duty received at the Dunedin office for the month of September was £57,00-1 2s 3d, and beer duty £13,99-1 6s. The figures for September of last year were:—Net Customs, £68,031 16s 8d; beer duty, £14,435 12s Id. For the quarter ending this month the figures show:—Customs, £204,687 13s Id : beer duty, £42,036 4s Sd. The totals for the corresponding quarter of last year were:—Customs, £176,336 16s 2d; beer duty, £38,665 4s 9d.
