REMANDED,
Robert Hamilton Gifford was charged with the theft of an acetylene bicycle lamp valued at IBs. The accused was remanded until Eri day.
Thomas Alexander Dale and Angus M’Donald were charged with having committed mischief by wilfully damaging a hedge, valued at £5, the property of Peter Skinner. They were also charged with having damaged a motor car and with having converted a motor car to their own use. Sergeant Shanahan, in applying for a remand, stated that the two accused took a car in Lower High street, and drove down Cumberland street out to Normanby. Hero their adventure was brought to an unfortunate end, as owing to bad driving the car went into a hedge. The accused wore remanded until Friday next, bail being allowed. MAINTENANCE. Walter Penrose Honsleigh (Mr Calder) was ordered to pay £2 10s per week towards the support t>f his wife and children, and also £3 3s solicitor’s fee. Mr Irwin appeared for the complainant.
