PRISONERS SENTENCED

WELLINGTON, July 25. The following prisoners were sentenced in the Supreme Court to-day;— James Leslie Mackey, theft at Foxton, was admitted to probation for twelve months.
Boy Edward Neill, theft at Palmerston North, was given two years’ probation and ordered not to visit racecourses or ganil.de.
John Robertson and George Curtis, theft of a postal packet, were e.icn sentenced to tnree years’ reformative detention.
Nalln Daw, a Hindu, breaking, entering, and theft, was sentenced to sis months’ imprisonment. itugar .11111111’ i eu.isen, theft, v.as given three vem;-' reiormaiive detention.
Patrick Ernest Furlong, forgo'y, was 5e,.,,-uci.a to two years murmulive detention
Albert Ernest Turner, for sending false telegrams and forgery at Wanganui, received two years’ reformative detention.
Arthur Reginald Borland, false prefences at Marion, who is already on probation, had his term of probation extended to three years. Whitcly Conch, theft at AVanganui, was admitted to three years’ probation.
