C.T.’S BIG DAY

TO HELP POOR AND NEEDY. The Commercial Travellers’ “ Big Day ’* takes place on Friday next, commencing at 11 a.m., and continuing as long as the sellers have envelopes to dispose of. Very few people have any idea of tha great amount of work which the Commercial Travellers have done during the past four or five days in packing 30,000 different articles in bags as well as enclosing the same number of tickets in envelopes, and then chocking and rechecking them. Special prizes, apart from the ordinary lorry parcels, include quarterton lots of coal, coal scuttles, oak fern stands, suit and trouser lengths, orders for sheets of music, and other tilings too numerous to mention. The lorries will bo stationed at Cargill’s comer, Mans* street, the Fountain, Stewart Dawson’s corner, Octagon, City Hotel, Penrose’s, and the Gardens.
