AIR-CAB, PLEASE!
MAY REVOLUTIONISE TRAFFIC. [From Our London Correspondent,] June 14. There is no end to the potentialities of the new helicopter, perfected by Mr Lewis Brennan at Farnborough, which is reported to have hovered over nearly a quarter of an hour at a height of 20ft from the ground. If machines of this character can be turned out as commercial propositions, they will revolutionise tiro traffic of London and other great cities. There will bo nothing whatever to prevent every hotel equipping itself with an aerocab on its roof. Visitors will ascend to the roof by the hotel lift, hail their aerocab, and bo whisked away through the air to Epsom or Ascot, to Walton or Sunmingdale, to Henley or Maidenhead, according as their inclinations may prompt them to go to the races, have a round of golf, or spend a couple of hours on the river, Their journey will occupy only a few minutes, and in process of time there will be nothing to prevent your city man living fifty or sixty miles out'i.f 'own, instead of pining in long, unlovely suburban streets.
