PARIS, July 22. The dope traffic trial resulted in all tho doctors and chemists being found guilty of delivering practically unlimited quantities of morphine and other drugs. Tho court declined to accept the defence that tho doctors and chemists acted with a view to enabling the victims of tho drug habit to liberate themselves from their vices. Dr Raoul Regnier was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment, two other doctors to six months cadi, two to three months each, and three others, including a. woman doctor, were fined. One chemist _ was sentenced to six montils’ imprisonment, and others to four months’ imprisonment, Thirtynino drug-takers were sentenced to terms of imprisonment ranging from three months to ten months, and wore fined 1,000 to 8,000 francs each.—A. and N.Z.
