There was a fair gathering at Wesley Hall, St, Kilda ; last evening, when the fortnightly meeting of ihe Methodist Band of Hope was field. The chair was occupied by the Rev. 15. Metson. Tho following contributed items: —Piano solo, Irene King; solo, Vora Duff • duet, Betty and Molly Metson: rccit-at’ons—Doris Ward, Aftnie and Thelma Shilcock, Allan Muir, Ahvyh Trebiico, Trevor Wilson, and Kathleen Baird. A stirring object lesson, entitled ‘The War Against Alcohol,’ was given by Rev. Knowles Kcmpton, after which two signed the temperance pledge.
