WORLD'S SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP

PADDON A STRONG FAVORITE

[Pee United Pbkss Association.]

WANGANUI, July 20. In connection with iho world’s sculling championship race to be rowed to-morrow on the Richmond River (Australia) between Paddon (the holder) and lladfield (the challenger), a private cable received here states that Paddon is remarkably fit, and is rowing in fine style. He is right up to the form he showed on the Wanganui River when he beat Hadfield. The champion is a strong favorite. Hadfield does not like Iho course. He will row in his old boat.

The weather prospects are good, but the gate is likely to be only moderate.
