Marshal Foch has returned from Poland and Czecho-Slovakia. He states that the Polish army has all of its old-time brilliant qualities, and is steadily assimilating methods of discipline. Poland is a strong bulwark. Even if Russia wanted to attack Poland, she would not be dangerous for some years, and it would bo a long time before Germany would venture to attack an ally of France. “ The Czecho-Slovaldan army,” said Marshal Foch, “was less brilliant than that,of Poland, but it had great technical knowledge.
