VERDICT OF SUICIDE. . Yesterday evening Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M., sitting as coroner, held an inquest on the body of James William Elsom, aged sixty-one, who was found dead yesterday morning in the cellar of his home tt Mans ford, near Port Chalmers. Evidence was given by the deceased’s daughter, by Dr Borrio, and by a police constable. A verdict of suicide while in a state of extreme mental depression was returned.
