(Deceived December 28, at 12.10 p.m.) The weather was tine when Taylor and Braun resumed South Africa’s second innings (four for 270 when stumps wero drawn the previous day). Both players batted steadily, and SOJ appeared in 267 minutes. Frequent bowling changes were tried, but Taylor saw Braun, Ward, and Francois dismissed before making a. fatal miss-bit to cover, bis wicket being the eighth to fall, lie batted a chancelcss innings, lasting 5.10 minutes, and played all round the wicket. He bit twenty-five 4’s. Blanckonbcrg and Nupen made the pace merrv. The innings closed for 420. The M.O.C. team started by making runs quickly, but soon cased down. Sa.ndham and Mead each gave a hard chance before the first wicket (Sandhnm's) fell at 56, knocked up in sc.vcnly-six minutes. The howling was good and the fielding keen.
